The Technology Lab is established within a small datacenter at one of Atos' locations, designed to operate entirely independently from other datacenters, thus preventing any interference with existing production environments. This autonomy enables easy testing of production-impacting procedures, including new installations, power cycles, and other procedures affecting production. It provides employees with valuable hands-on experience and serves as a platform for testing and demonstrating the latest application versions.
Additionally, the BTIC's hardware is housed within this facility, which also hosts the Inno'Lab in the Netherlands.
For access, installations, updates, and connections to the public cloud, there is a direct, firewalled, internet connection. The Tech.Lab environment is equipped with the most up-to-date hardware, representing current versions from prominent providers such as Cisco, Dell+EMC, NetApp, and HP. Utilizing hardware made available after LCM (Life Cycle Management), the environment experiences renewed use.
Maintenance and (re)installations are carried out by Atos and Eviden employees with extensive experience in this specific equipment. The Tech.Lab is accessible to all Atos and Eviden customers and employees.
